The end of first semester of my first year in university.

There burns my parents' RM19k. Ouchhh
YAY !!! The first semester ended finally!!!
woohooo! Don't really like my first sem because my luck was really bad lol.
Anyway, I've gone through everything already!
week 9 to week 12 the sort of 'most painful' period in my life ever...
hehehehehe
Let's just post some summary from week 9 to week 12 here.
1. PSA
We got back our first case study!!! 79/100 !! One more freaking mark to my first HD ! but then.. some mistakes here and there... ended up getting D only. gahhh so near yet so far!
I'm quite happy with the marks actually hehe since it maybe can help me to pass my psa's internal hurdle.. @.@ There's group with 89 ! The highest! well actually we thought that there's something wrong with our hysys but then.. it's over lar =D
Lap planning & experiment... hahaha we skipped profession's lecture and went to yihao's house to try that thing out with normal water pipe which is well insulated LOL. Epic fail hahaha

Our planning was really quite a mess since we don't know what to assume, how to conduct the experiment, and how to win the 'competition'. But then ended up we were the group of that class which could cool down the water having greatest temperature change with a shorter time. Actually the way the lab assistant measured was like... collect water from 100mL to 400mL, measure the time before and after & temperature before & after... And our results is from 26.5 to 13.5 in 40s time! hehe hope we can win the competition tho.

I only did the hand calculations part, and yihao did the hysys part.
Pain ahhhhhh they said seniors only get 70+ for the highest mark ( same questions )

Wondering what's HYSYS? Here's the sample that we did for case study 2 question 3 which we need to do to compare to our hand calculations and state the reasons if there's any difference in values...

I just hope that we won't fail for the 2nd case study... The 3rd case study still in the progress of doing it but I've already done my hand calculation parts! Thank you Dr Estee for extending the due date? Lol
Overall I'm fine with PSA. hahaha kinda like this unit because it's.... Idk xD
2. A BIG EVENT IN SUNWAY UNIVERSITY!!!
NICK VUJICIC'S TALK !!!!! That AWESOME COOL guyyyyyy who doesn't have limbs and legs...
We queued in MUSC outside the bookstore from 11 to 12... Me, Ruo Chien, Sue Sze, Zhi Yuan and Kin Hong. Secondary school buddies. hehe

22nd May 2013. We should have gone to queue when we reached at 7++am. The queue was so super long when we went outside the hall at 8! Regret! haha that was why we couldn't get front seats... gahhh
Nick is really inspiring and cool. I don't know how to describe what he said or why I feel so.

Awww I hope so. hahaha
To be honest, I shed tears for one little moment or two. It was the first time I attended a talk in which the whole hall is super silent when the person is talking on stage.

Wheeeee our trebuchet. Hmph. It hit the board but didn't hit the paper of target... kinda fail actually haha.
Some groups hit the target!! So envy! haha Vera's group, Onn Kay's group, Rachel's group, Sanjay's group, etc........ ....

Originally we wanted to build a catapult... but then we changed our plan. And we built a trebuchet
Oh ya, a must mention thing, the thin metal rod we used at first... BENT !!! hahahaha
The load and the wood were too heavy. The forces multiplied even more when the ball was launched.
And then... the metal rod bent !!! hahaha every one of us was laughing outside the project lab LOL
Choy's group made a balista which looks cool, zhi yuan's group too.

And then thanks to zhao ern, we changed to a super thick metal rod which his dad found it from construction site............. LOL yes construction site. haha!
Takda loads, so we used rocks... We went to try on Friday the public holiday too... That day before public holiday was music night. Ahahaha I went to an instrument shop in Damansara with ma family in ther morning.. Then they went to pyramid. Walked from pyramid to monash for this thing lol the heat was really.... hah and then we tried but kinda failed actually. Super inconsistent.

3. ENG1061 that super useless unit =.=
Until now I still don't understand what's the purpose of the unit HAH
Don't really wanna talk much about this stupid unit and the project here.
Bad-mouth is sort of prohibited here LOLolololol
hmph I can just say that I'm glad that everything is over and I don't need to deal with this stupid unit any more. ( Hopefully I pass my external paper's hurdle which is 45% )

Some random time I spent in library and outside the campus alone...
Saw a rainbow in a morning when I walked from Sunway Uni to Monash. I usually don't take bus but this rainbow really made my day <3 before that stupid unit ruined my mood.
