Hi !
This is a post about site visiting with IMEchE ...
Well, I actually signed up for this IMechE was because of I'm really interested when the senior said they'll have a trip to somewhere to see aircrafts...
and yeah, I joined the site visit despite the heavy workloads.
Thanks to Jieyinn, I've a friend there =D haha
It was on Friday. 4 days before structures project 1 due.
Hmph, I just threw away everything, and went for the site visit!
Aircrafts! So cool ㅋㅋㅋ
though I don't really know anything about aircrafts...
I just think that they're cool and interesting, but the knowledge behind the cool and interesting stuffs must be very tough.
Basically... I just went there to take a look at all those huge things, and I actually learnt nothing because I was not asking anything and not listening to anything.
Just couldn't absorb thing at that time because so many things were going on that week.
The journey there was.. kinda chilling yet torturing.
I was chatting with jieyinn for almost an hour. From uni to secondary school to friends to family to others.
I really had a nice chat with her, and that really made me feel better after whole week of "depression"..
The journey to UniKL MIAT was too long and I started feeling dizzy and getting bus sick...
And I could only stop talking and start concentrating to look outside if not then I had to close my eyes..
After around 1.5~2 hours, we finally reached!!

Then they brought us to the other room with turbine engines....... Omg they're just SO HUGE!
No wonder planes and aircrafts are so huge.



After that.......... back to the hangar!!!

Finally.. I took out my camera because the instructor said you can do whatever you want like taking photos or asking questions, except touching anything, just do not touch anything.
hehehehe finally can take clear photos! yeepeeee
one of the helicopters is a big one, which has more than 5 seats for passengers..
one of members asked the instructor can they open and let them go in.. well, the answer was yes, but it was the same, not to touch anything, especially all those switches and buttons at the front seat.
So, everyone started going up and taking photos and asking questions..
Basically me and jieyinn just looked around and followed others around.
And yeah I took some photos! *happy*

Me and jieyinn walked to the other corner which has a helicopter with barely nothing.
Few guys were sitting in the helicopter, asking the instructor some questions.
Me and jieyinn were just looking around and amazed by the number of buttons and switches.
Tho something really minor happened here... I didn't really think of anything until I reached home that day.
Well, I don't wanna mention it here. I'll just keep it to myself ;)

I slept in the bus during the journey back to Monash. heh too tired lar!
Wheeeeee it was my first time to look so closely at aircrafts' engines and all those aircrafts!
I was so amazed and excited! haha =D

The sentence that I need to tell myself every single challenging day.

The most horrible 2 weeks I have ever had in my life finally passed.
Workloads are crazy and yet so many things happened.
Due dates all packed in these 2 weeks, and friend left to UK for further studies.
So many things were going on, and I only had 24 hours per day.
The craziness of engineering course is getting clearer and bigger.
Week 6 & 7 were really packed with tons of things to do.
Structure the nightmare, computing MATlab, chemistry report for Weds Thurs and Fris, mid-sem test etc.
Structure is the ultimate killer which no one likes at all.
The appendix that needed to be hand written will not have marks at all, in which I only knew that after I handed it in. I could only be speechless after hearing that.
We spent so much time on it, redoing and redoing and redoing non-stop after checking and checking and checking.
Mistakes just wouldn't stop coming to find us. And in the end we still did something very wrong for the appendix and calculations.
You wouldn't know the amount of tears that accompanied me when I started redoing the calculations every single time.
Well, I think for now I'm okay enough not to complain any more.
We worked so hard for the project, but what we got in the end?
Even though we started earlier, we finished earlier ( we thought we were done with it, before noticing any errors ), and we redid every single thing repeatedly for n-times.
Hah. It was really a torturing process, although we have the help of MATlab.
We just couldn't go right with the correct values. Every one of us in the group discussed and checked, yet we could still find mistakes one day before our deadline.
Yes, one day before the deadline, and we did to REDO EVERY SINGLE THING AGAIN in LESS THAN 16 hours.
Nope, you didn't read it wrongly, we actually did redo every thing from start to end in less than 14 hours before our final presentation started.
Thanks to Jimmy, I noticed the error which was actually caused by me. I was really so damn guilty until I just suddenly burst into tears after Jimmy told me. I think my friends there were stunned for few seconds.
hahaha I think the jccw knew that after jimmy thought that he said something wrong? Actually it's not like that, just that I feel so super freaking guilty since I was the one who did the loading part calculations ( although my groupmates did check the appendix but they didn't notice anything? )
and yeah, we just rushed the appendix for the whole night and midnight and day. Maybe it was just me who stayed up till 3am tho.
I only got to prepare my presentation speech in the afternoon, 2 hours before my deadline.
And and and... It's always true that bad luck always comes in three lol.
Firstly, we found a mistake and we finally finished redoing everything.
Secondly, I only noticed that I forgot to return the library's laptop and got fined of Rm20 for exceeding 2 hours =.=
Thirdly, the questions we got from lecturer and tutor for our presentation were no doubt those questions which were some of the hardest ones to answer in that tutorial class.

Wheee the presentation session was one of the scariest moments for presentation in my entire life.
The tutor has been so freaking arrogant and annoying and so not helpful ever since this unit started. I'm sorry to badmouth her here, but that's just the truth. The lecturer is friendly but he doesn't have that skills to transfer what's in his mind to us.
When the tutor first entered the tutorial class : "Okay, for today, I won't be saying anything until every single group finishes their presentations. Don't ask me rubbish questions like 'Can we start now?' or any other, just do whatever you want out there and everything will be considered in the marking. ...."
I cannot really remember what she said after that, but the overall picture was that she is just so freaking............................................................................. I'm speechless LOL
And well.. every group's presentation was fine, it's just that not all group's Q&A session was fine.
The tutor will pick 2 groups after every presentation just to ask the presenting group questions, and that was also included in the marking of both asking and answering groups.
The first two groups got the easier and not-so-sharp questions.
The lecturer kena bombed by Rachel, Mindee and Jimmy when he asked them questions like why is the bridge to be 45m long and why is the height so short as only 2.5m blah blah blah
After that........ the questions are getting tougher and tougher.
Well, the lecturer will ask the one who answered the most questions or the one who was like "I know everything, ask me" to step aside after asking them 1 or 2 questions, and he will pick the other group member to get the answers from them. Hmpg ._.
Until my group... the questions were................................................................. lol
I actually thought I would be the one not answering anything after the presentation, but ended up I was the one who was called by the lecturer to step aside, because the questions he asked were mostly about loadings, which were my calculation part for the appendix.
Well, it was too unfortunate for my group member then.
Okay, I must state here that I'm so so so sorry for letting the wind load to act on the top joints =/
Anyway, everything was over now, alright, not everything, it's just the project 1 which was over now.
YEEPEE! Nightmare ver. 1 is completed !
and here comes................. NIGHTMARE ver 2.0 !    
---- structure project 2 ---- to build a bridge as light and as strong and stable as possible using only newspapers and cellophane tapes. Seniors said that it was a nightmare and you have to keep on rolling the newspapers over and over again. LOL

Alright, no more mentioning structures here. It will just make me to feel more annoyed.

I hate structures project until I tweeted this : "现在的我好想见桥拆桥。可我没这能力。LOL"
And because of that stupid project, whenever I pass by anything that has trusses on it, I'll stare at it and think about my project. LOL
Because of structures, I blacklisted my second choice which is civil engineering lololol.
For now I'll just stick to chemical first then. XD ( although I'm super worried for year 2's thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. Heard that they're the killer subjects! )


Ah change topic!
Despite of all those hardships that we need to face, we still have friends, especially good friends around us. =3
Friends are the best when you're really stressed and they just suddenly burst out something funny and you'll get to laugh non-stop.
I guess I'm partial part of the jccw group aka ymca group now?
JCCW stands for the the initial of the guys' names, and ymca stands for..... yee mee club association lololol !
Nah, it's just the ultimate trolling group which has 4 super smart guys J.C.C.W. and 2 girls R&D ( r&d is something  that just popped out suddenly) xD I'm like....... partial part right? hahaha thanks to Rachel and Mindee ~~
You'll never get to stop laughing when you're with the people in that group. They're just too... funny and cute and fun!
Of course there's still one more 'chemistry' group which consists of 4 girls and 2 guys. hahaha opposite of the trolling group lol! We have a group chat on fb called "Pancake Corner" which I don't know why does it have to be the name. HAHA
And of course the 4 guys which entered this course together with me. Classmates since last year~
Everyone is just so helpful and willing to share. And I really appreciate that =')
I really love to have fun and chat with them ㅋㅋㅋ
Friends are great accompanies when you feel down and lost, and they're the best to share things with, especially fun things and funny thoughts. =D
